Pastor David Goins

David Goins Jr. is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s married to his wife of 22 years, Lady Angel, affectionately known as L.A.Pastor Goins is a preacher, philanthropist, and a servant-leader who has impacted thousands of lives through his ministry. The foundation for his pastoral passion is rooted in his love for those that are left out, locked out and looked over. Pastor Goins’ heart for God and a love for people is on full display as he preaches and teaches the Word of God with power, passion, and practicality.Pastor Goins & Lady Angel have served together in ministry for over 20 years. Today they are the Lead Pastors of NewEvergreen Ministries located in Avondale, the very community that Pastor Goins was born and bred. As fate would have it, they both are products of ministries in Avondale. As a child Pastor Goins attended New Friendship Baptist Church while Lady Angel attended Antioch Fire Baptized Holiness Church. In 12 years under their leadership, the New Evergreen church experienced exponential growth both numerically and spiritually.

The grace of God afforded them the opportunity to serve in prisons across the country, feed thousands of people across the city, provide resources to many schools throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, host outreach efforts across the country and lead countless souls to Christ. As a result of their vision, they are the proud sponsors of 5 children in Asia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Kenya.Now as the successors to the legacy of Bishop Michael & Pastor Carol Dantley, the Goins’ have been charged to lead Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship in June of 2023. In September of the same year the New Evergreen and Christ Emmanuel congregations began a successful merger, where both places came together to build up a successful Kingdom work. Under their leadership membership has been strengthened, systems have been improved, staff and membership has grown, volunteer culture has shifted and communities have been lifted up!An avid reader with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Pastor Goins endeavors to shape his community with the wisdom which he has been gifted as a student of the Bible and life.

Lady Angel Goins

Lady Angel’s call is ministering to women especially to those who feel broken and unseen. She is a champion of women, a supporter, and an advocate, inspiring women everywhere to do the work to be physically, emotionally, and spiritually whole. Following every church service, ladies stand in line to hug and have a moment with her as she showers them with her loving nature.

Through their unconventional approach to ministry, they are committed to serving God and His people. On several occasions, Pastor Goins has been quoted saying, “God has called me to tell on the devil.” His greatest desire is to see the people of God walking in the authority that God has given us. Pastor Goins and Lady Angel’s ministry motto is “we can’t stop, we won’t stop.”The center of their heart and life is their family. Together they are the proud parents of three boys Dallas, Dion, and Dylan.
